Missions Works

Homeless Meals - The congregation prepares, packs and delivers hot meals to individuals and families who are living in state-funded motels. The meals are prepared every other month.

Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) - During the winter months, coats, hats, gloves, etc... are collected and transported to TASK for distribution to those in need.

St. Paul's Food Pantry - at a church in nearby Trenton hosts a food pantry where those in need can come to get free food supplies for their families. We take a monthly monetary contribution from the congregation and our Youth Group members shop for the food that is delivered to the food pantry.

Red Bird Mission - Education Back Packs - http://www.rbmission.org/Ministries/education.html

Red Bird Mission School serves 265 students in grades K-12 and centers on developing the full potential of its students in a Christian atmosphere. The school is operated independently by the Mission and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the University Senate of the United Methodist Church. Red Bird Mission School provides quality education to students of the Red Bird area regardless of their ability to pay. Enrichment classes in physical education, foreign language, music, art, and libraries are available to all students. Christian education is incorporated in the curriculum for all grades. Students may graduate from the School with a general, college preparatory or academic diploma. Many extracurricular activities are available to enhance each student’s school experience in the area of academics, fine arts, and athletics.

Lifeties - we support giving for this wonderful program. See http://lifetiesinc.org for current updates on this outreach.

Heifer Project - We have participated in this project by "filling an ark with animals," which involves collecting $5,000 to cover the cost of animals and their transportation and to train families to handle the livestock to help sustain them. Many families use the by-products from the animals to sell or trade for other necessary items.
